AC Milan star midfielder Clarence Seedorf is confident the Rossoneri have what it takes to progress to the knockout stage of the Champions League next week, as long as they show the same determination they have showed domestically over the past few weeks.
The Diavoli coasted to a fifth win on the bounce in Serie A yesterday, thrashing Sampdoria 3-0 at home, and will now turn their attention to Tuesday’s key Champions League trip to Group C whipping boys Zurich.
“We will visit a ground that we must respect despite the results achieved by the other teams in our group,” Seedorf said to Sky Sport Italia of the Swiss side who have lost all their games in Europe so far, except for a shock win at the San Siro last September.
“We must play our game and try to dominate possession. Our preparation will be very important because we are favourites on paper.
“That is why our approach to the match will be crucial and this win over Sampdoria will help us a lot.”
