Veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi is a reported target for Manchester City and Chelsea, who are both keen to bolster their attacking ranks in the winter transfer window.

Inzaghi, currently at Milan, has fallen out of favour with rookie Brazilian manager Leonardo, and could be set for a move in January - six months prior to the expiration of his contract in June.

According to a report in Corriere dello Sport, Inzaghi is also on the wishlist of Atletico Madrid.

Mark Hughes is eager to sign an experienced striker, while Carlo Ancelotti - who worked with 'Pippo' during their time together at the San Siro - is keen on signing a player to help compensate for the collective loss of Salamon Kalou and Didier Drogba when Ivory Coast compete in the African Cup of Nations.

Inzaghi is yet to score in the Serie A this season, but has twice struck in European competition.
