AC Milan captain Massimo Ambrosini did not look for excuses after the Rossoneri lost 2-0 to Palermo yesterday.

Milan quickly ran out of ideas on a cold afternoon at the San Siro and saw their unbeaten streak in Serie A come to an end after almost three months.

“We could have done better, no doubt about it,” ‘Ambro’ sighed on Sky Sport 24.

“But it’s fair to say that Palermo put in a great performance and deserved the victory.

“We must be honest and admit that Palermo deserved it.”

Milan had impressed in recent weeks after boss Leonardo switched to a new offensive 4-2-1-3 system.

“Perhaps our opponents are starting to understand how to trouble us with this new formation,” explained Ambrosini.

“But we can and must do better. This defeat can even be useful. We must do more, because only novelties and enthusiasm won't win us the Scudetto.”
